Senior Technology Architecture & Advisory
Senior technology architecture and CTO/CIO advisory for organizations navigating complex products, platforms, data, AI, integrations and technology decisions.
We help leadership teams understand what they have, determine what they actually need, design the right architecture, and turn it into an executable plan. When execution capacity is required, our delivery arm through Rubicon MicroProducts can help build it.

The problem
Our role is to create clarity before more technology gets added.
Organizations usually call us when one or more of these things are happening:
The platform has grown faster than its architecture.
Major decisions are being made without an experienced technical executive.
Teams and vendors are working without coherent technical direction.
Scaling, integration, security or operationalization is getting difficult.
Data exists everywhere but is difficult to trust or use.
AI initiatives need to move from experimentation to production.
Modernization needs an architecture before implementation begins.
Technical debt is slowing products or business operations.
A CTO or CIO perspective is needed without another full-time executive.
Investors or leaders need an independent technical assessment.
What we do
Design the technical foundation behind products, platforms and enterprise systems.
Senior technology leadership without requiring a full-time executive hire.
Turn fragmented data and AI initiatives into an architecture that can operate in production.
Help product organizations move from feature development to sustainable platform engineering.
Create an architecture across systems that were never originally designed to work together.
Independent technical review when something is expensive, delayed, unstable or difficult to understand.
Have a technology problem that does not fit neatly into one of these boxes?

Our advisory work is concentrated where systems, data, integrations and operational workflows are complex.
Architecture for environments where technology must connect clinical, operational, regulatory and human workflows.
Architecture connecting engineering, equipment, operations, product data and enterprise systems.
Architecture for systems where transaction integrity, data, integrations and operational controls matter.
Architecture for software companies moving from application development toward scalable product platforms.
Example problems
Not client stories — concrete examples of the situations we work on in each industry. If one of these looks familiar, we can probably help.
A healthcare services platform connects to EHRs, lab systems and partner portals through a tangle of point-to-point integrations. Every new partner takes months, data quality is inconsistent, and nobody can say exactly where patient data flows.
A payments platform built for an early market is now processing volumes its original architecture never anticipated. Settlement jobs overlap, reconciliation is partly manual, and every change to the core ledger carries risk nobody has fully quantified.
A multi-tenant SaaS platform has accumulated years of features on an early-stage foundation. Release cycles are stretching, enterprise customers are asking for isolation and controls the architecture cannot offer, and the engineering team is split between firefighting and roadmap.
Every engagement starts from your actual systems, constraints and economics — not a template. These examples show the shape of the work, not a fixed package.
Architecture + delivery
Most advisory firms stop at recommendations. GetArchitect has access to a mature engineering and R&D delivery organization through Rubicon MicroProducts.
An engagement can stop after architecture and advisory — or continue directly into implementation.
GetArchitect
Rubicon MicroProducts
There is no requirement to use Rubicon for implementation.
We can remain an independent advisor to your team or vendors. But when execution capacity is the constraint, we can move into delivery without spending months assembling another team.
How we work
We start with the business objective, existing technology, constraints, people and economics.
We identify architecture problems, dependencies, technical risks and decision points.
We define the target architecture, priorities, roadmap and practical next steps.
Your team, existing vendors, or Rubicon can implement the plan.
Engagements can range from a few focused advisory sessions to an ongoing fractional CTO/CIO relationship or a full architecture-and-delivery program.
Engagement types
For a defined architecture or technology decision.
Architecture review · vendor decision · modernization · AI architecture · build vs buy · platform design
A structured review of an existing technology environment.
Current state · risks · architecture observations · priorities · target state · implementation roadmap
Ongoing senior technology leadership without a full-time executive hire.
Roadmap ownership · governance · vendor management · engineering oversight · board and investor support
Architecture and implementation handled together.
GetArchitect leads architecture and technical direction while Rubicon provides engineering capacity.
Who we work with
Technology is critical, but no senior technical leader is in the room.
An independent architect or additional senior capacity is needed.
A platform needs modernization, scaling or direction.
Technical diligence or portfolio-company support is required.
Transformation crosses systems, vendors, data and functions.
Why GetArchitect
Architecture exists to support an operating model, product or business outcome.
We are comfortable recommending less technology or challenging an implementation.
Recommendations must survive engineering, budgets, existing systems and production.
Architecture and technical direction are led by experienced practitioners.
Use your team, your vendors, or ours.
About
GetArchitect is led by technology executives and architects with hands-on experience designing, operating and modernizing complex technology environments.
Our work spans architecture, software engineering, cloud, data, AI, enterprise systems, integration, security and technology operations — across healthcare, MedTech, social services, manufacturing, industrial technology, FinTech, payments and SaaS.
Unlike advisory practices built primarily around management consulting, our background comes from designing and delivering production systems.
Through Rubicon MicroProducts, a Canadian IT services and product company, we also have access to a multidisciplinary R&D and engineering organization when implementation support is required.
Head office and primary delivery base in the Greater Toronto Area.
Second Ontario location serving clients across the region.
We work with clients and distributed teams beyond Canada, remotely and on site when it matters.
Experience
No inflated numbers, no borrowed logos — the work below is what our team has actually designed, built or rescued.
Began delivering custom software and enterprise integration work for clients in financial services and manufacturing.
Expanded into data warehousing, governance and analytics platforms across enterprise data sources.
Took on healthcare and social-services systems — patient data, consent, and integration with clinical and administrative platforms.
Built automation and low-code delivery practices (RPA, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, PowerBI) alongside cloud work on AWS and Azure.
Launched our own products — Fundue and Data Mountain — small, focused tools for complex business use cases.
GetArchitect formalizes the advisory side: senior architecture and technology leadership, with Rubicon MicroProducts available for delivery.
Real projects
Digital banking and secure payment systems operating in regulated environments, where ledgers, reconciliation and auditability are non-negotiable.
Systems that handle patient data and consent, integrate with clinical and administrative platforms, and support care delivery operations.
Industry 4.0 work — automation, IoT integration and data analytics on production floors and supply chains.
Customization and integration of Dynamics, SAP, Salesforce and Infor — the systems companies actually run on.
Data warehousing, governance and self-service analytics platforms built across fragmented enterprise data sources.
Fundue and Data Mountain — products we designed, built and operate ourselves, not just slides about other people's systems.

AI architecture assessment
Describe the situation in your own words. You’ll receive an initial executive readout, likely architecture concerns, critical questions, and practical next priorities.
Use operational detail, not confidential data.
The brief is directional and based only on what you provide. It does not replace technical diligence.
A useful first conversation
A first conversation is simply to understand what you are trying to solve and determine whether we can be useful. No long discovery process. No obligation.
